Sunburst KL '09!

Yes, I know it is long overdue, but I really need to blog about Sunburst KL '09!

I missed the one last year, well, i blame it on the ticket prices that i can't afford, no matter how long the show may be.. But this year, it was all down to Diyana, so a big big Thank You has to go out to her for taking me :)

First off, there are going to be alot of pictures in here labelled "Us" - just to note that'll be Me, Quz, Diyana, and Ibnu, because well, we probably hung out together alot that day.

Well, as you probably know, Sunburst is an annual 12-hour music festival that was started in '08, showcasing local, Asian, and International acts non-stop! This year there were four stages: Livesounds, and Loud & Clear, the two under-the-tent; and

Sky, and Sun, the two huge outdoor stages

I was surprised at the efficiency and dedication to the time slots, everything progressed simultaneously, one after the other quite well! Like after one act, all we'd have to do was just turn around and head to the next stage because they'd be already raring to go! Awesomeeeee :)

They started up close to midnight, but I was leaving by then, so didn't really get to stay long... But what i did hear, was awesome.

"I'M SORRY IT TOOK 15 YEARS FOR US TO GET HERE! ... YOU GUYS WANNA HEAR SOME OLD SHIT? HUH? DO YOU? SOME OLD SHIT?"

There were also tons of stalls and entertainment abound on the rest of the field!

Our futile attempts to get a "tan." More like Bern, and I was just tagging along... I was stupidly wearing jeans and a black shirt (black absorbs the most heat) to an outdoor concert in the blazing sun with perfectly good weather! What a waste! :(

And of course, 7-11 has to be there.

Silent Disco-ing! Woot Woot!

Okay, so maybe you're wondering "Wtf is a Silent Disco?!!" (all will be revealed in the next post)

Also, thank the heavens (read: Diyana) for having the VIP Pavilion to go to!

 A place to unwind and SIT, not to mention free food and drinks! A real lifesaver :D

About 8 hours into the freakin' festival, i needed a sugar rush... Cupcakes work just fine :P

But a real highlight of the day, had to be getting to meet the celebs! Again, thanks she-who-has-been-named-too-many-times! :D

Funny thing happened today...

Cruising along the highway alone, with one of radio's most overplayed artists blaring over the radio. I couldn't help but to kick into karaoke-mode!

well well today after golf and swimming. got a call from my bff Granite Ass aka Jann.
he asked me if i wanted to meet up and hang out. but later on i found out that his car had broken along the highway.
so i went and met up with him and hang(ed) out. wat a ideal place to meet and hang haha.. bet u all never tried b4?. well well stood there for about an hour till his dad and help came. it was fun to stand on a fly-over that shook everytime a trailer passes by. haha
neways Mr.Lau Jann Lim is my featured guest of the month haha. there u go bro haha..

*problem determined by the 'experts' (apparently they come in twos to assist you now) from AAM was a malfunctioning timing belt. Now I got no ride. Just what I needed. Early mornings here i come.
