Holey Sin!

"Food, Glorious Fooo-oood..
What wouldn't we give for
That extra bit more...
That's all that we live for
Why should we be fated to
Do nothing but brood
On food,
Magical food,
Wonderful food,
Marvellous food,
Fabulous food,

Beautiful food!

Glorious fooo-oood!"
Yes, Oliver Twist sprang to mind.
How he would have killed to be me. Or one of the millions of others who have tasted this holey sin.

You can't miss nor resist the brightly colored neon-lights fronting the store, the simple yet boldly endearing sign, the satisfying faces of stuffed patrons, and not least the long queue of eager yet-to-have-climaxed Malaysians, all clamouring for the latest morsel to arrive that had boldly claimed - in your face - to "melt in your mouth."

Its Krispy Kreme folks!!

With the first store opening just yesterday in prime location @ Berjaya Times Square, we in Malaysia are finally blessed :P
Though avoiding the crowd and potentially one month of free doughnuts by skipping the opening, I made my way there the very next day! Sean popped along, and we went to see (and experience) whether all the fuss and hype of its innate superiority to the J and Apple varieties held any truth.

They have this funky machine known as a 'proof box' where heat and humidity is set and where the doughnuts go on a 20 minute oscillating ride to allow the dough to rise!

They're then dropped into a hot oil bath, cooking both sides before passing through a tantalizingly gooey glazing waterfall! *drool*

This bright red neon light fronts the store
That's hot.

The wait justifies everything.

And everything is justified by the following:

Hehe, well I couldn't take 'em all because I was rushed out of the line to pay up and get out :(

Trekked back to Pavilion to enjoy our gems, toying with the prospect of going into J.Co's for a drink while eating these beauties :P

Sean had a tough time picking the first one... they all look so good!

The New York Cheesecake was sublime!
The cheesecake filling was topped off with cream cheese icing and graham cracker crunch: a beautiful start to this forbidden relationship. My favourite so far :D

I have indeed climaxed.

And it seems to be contagious...

I call Climate Change!

The month was December; the reason? Louis Vuitton.

"Oh my god! We can't let you on the floor like that!"

And so i ran. Ran clanking all the way in black work shoes to the connecting bridge at Times Square where i knew there HAD to be one of those 15-min shearing shops.
Not pretty. But hey, at least they let me get to work.

Fast forward almost 5 months - a winter break, and an entire semester.

And after yesterday.

Summer is coming. Obviously :)

Melted by the Meltdown

Well, there's the good news and the bad news.

Good news is that Finals are over! Overall, it was awesome. Very satisfying end to the sem :P
Just recuperating from the months of stress and lack of sleep!

Bad news is the inevitable onset of the feelings of having no purpose is near
Gets worse, since I was banking on getting an Internship to make good use of this opportunity, which sad to say did not materialize as of yet. However, not giving up! Will keep looking though, or else seriously the next two months will make me insane.

Cheesy Bananas

Lately I realized that I have been having this thing for (re)discovering foods to eat for breakfast, and when i do, it starts a routine - it becomes my jumpstart for the entire week or two, or when the ingredients run out, whichever comes first...
Last week was Pineapple-Banana-Cheese-Banana-Peanut Butter Toast :D

Grandma made her best batch of pineapple jam yet!
*Because nobody really wants to eat pineapple as a fruit.

I hated 'Chunky' Peanut Butter when i was younger (had this thing against nuts), but now i really can't do without it!

Thin slices of banana layered between a slice of cheese.
Splat.

Good Stuff!

Finals!

Today was another round of finals, my fifth, and actually, final round of exams for me in ADTP @ Sunway!
Today just ended with a bout of Psychology and Business Finance, which went pretty well i must say :)

I had only less than 2minutes to run through my entire set of 70 MCQs in Psychology after typically going overboard on the essays, that was stress! It was the prelude to a hectic 45 minutes that I had before my next exam!

I was wondering... "How can i flush out all that Psychology I stuffed in the previous night..."

"Shove in more stuff."

And so, that's what I did for the next half hour.

Which set me up for a couple of minutes of de-stressing with deep breaths when I finally had the paper in front of me. Not good.

"... There are 5 Questions in this Paper. One in Part I, four in Part II." Okay.

*Flip*

Question 1 was totally illegible to my brain. Not good.

*Flip back*

"...Answer only four. Part I is COMPULSORY. Choose three from Part II." Not good.

*Flip, flip*

Hey! Questions 2 & 3 look easy! Good.

*Blackout. Literally, the hall went black.* Not good.

Lights on. Blazed through Questions 2 & 3 - half the job done, in only 40 minutes! Good.

*Blackout. Again.* Not good.

4 or 5... 4 or 5... 4 or 5... Fine, let's do 4, in the mood for more calculation, less theory. Good.

*Blackout. Again. Again.* Not good.

Question 1 seems to make sense now. I hope. Here goes...

*Blackout. Again. Again. Again.* GOD DAMMIT SUNWAY!

Ronaldo Roocccccckeeeeeeeettttttt!!

Porto 0 - 1 Manchester United
(2-3 on aggregate)

We're in the semis!!

On that night in Portugal, in an "invincible city" that years before even Napolean could not overcome, a Devil swooped in, taking the early initiative to let it rip from 39.6 yards out. The Dragon could barely react. At 64.2mph or 103.3kph, it pierced the top of its belly to open a wound, the three-pronged pitchfork in place to smoulder the flames, and silence the roar.

Great to have Rio back marshalling the defence, he and Vidic were immense that night to keep the clean sheet, and help United through. Rooney ran his socks off, his stamina is incredible, i want!... :P

But as always, glory to the goalscorer!
*PS: We're the first English team to win at the Dragon's Lair! Hoorah! :P

What's Looping? (Flo Rida ft. Wynter - Sugar)

You know when some song keeps replaying in your head over and over, and you unconciously sing it out loud or in your head? It can get to a point where you can't stand it: You can either get hell frustrated at yourself, or you can just dance.

That's where this new segment to my blog comes in!
Whenever I can't stand that shit in my head, its coming out here :P

For starters, a big thanks to Sean for helping me download this, helped cure the itch :)
I've been replaying this the entire day in my head and on the comp, ever since hearing this annoying-turned-awesome song on the radio:

Flo Rida ft. Wynter - Sugar

What about tonight?

That was an insane match last night!!

If you care to wait, below is last night's Chelsea v Liverpool 2nd leg QF Champions League clash @ Stamford Bridge! Helluva match. Its an Extended HQ ITV Highlights 23min long, but every bit worth it if you care to wait :)

*recently removed from 101greatgoals.com; Sorry!

SPOILER IF YOU LIVE IN A CAVE: Chelsea (won 7-5 on aggregate against Liverpool) and will be facing Barcelona in the semis after Barca dispatched Bayern Munich! *mouthwatering*

Anyways, back to topic. In about 2 1/2 hours time, my beloved Red Devils will be taking the field against Portuguese champs Porto who held them to a 2-2 draw a week earlier at Old Trafford. So i'm up. But i cant stay up. Gonna catch the highlights first thing tmr morning.. :(
Blame the post before this.

MAN U FTW!

If all else fails, at least we've got our war Mach-in-eda.

Run-up to the Finals!

J: I don't have enough time! I need to do all this shit, and finish this long long psy chapter by tonight!!
A: Same time next week you'll be telling me you have "too much time."

Sorry dear readers for my inactivity!
It's been a strenous time, and an enormous week lies ahead - its Finals week!

Yup, two subjects on two days. Not too bad pairing of Psy-Finance & AmrCulture-Cal II, but will have to plan these last crucial days properly!

Annoying thing is, I can't seem to study that well at night...

...which led me here.
